M. Kim Brauer: Kim holds a Bachelor of Art in Art Education from The College of New Jersey. She studied for three years with Earl B. Lewis, Philadelphia Watercolorist/Painter. She studied Art and watercolor at the Artworks of Trenton/Princeton Kim began painting at the age of ten and has continued to work in many painting mediums throughout her career. Currently she is concentrating in watercolors. Landscapes and seascapes as the main subject matter, but portraits creep in at a whim. Her work is realistic yet it has much emotion and depth. Mood is always emphasized and a prerequisite. Kim takes her subject matter from a variety of locations, using scenes from around the globe and around the corner. She has been known to borrow a bit of this place or that to create her enticing paintings. Her subjects are often gentle; her use of color is bold, daring yet always clean. She can be soft and easy and yet still stay strong, powerful and moving. You will want to visit these paintings again and again.
