Marguerite Doernbach

Marguerite Doernbach:
Marguerite Doernbach has had an extensive painting career, starting in the mid 1930s and continuing even more strongly into today. Doernbach grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from Beaver College cum laude in 1938. From there, she lived and painted in Montreal and London before teaching art in Bristol, PA. In 1972, Doernbach moved to Trenton and began a tour of America's National Parks, painting what she calls "the calligraphy of nature." She painted in abundance now, both of the landscapes she saw and, starting in 1989, her autobiographic experiences in life. Doernbach continues to paint, and is currently exhibited in many galleries and collections. She is long-time member of TAWA (Trenton Artist's Workshop Association)
