Bill Harris William Harris, American. Bill Harris, a native of Bucks County Pennsylvania, is a prolific and innovative artist who is equally adept at handling large-scale murals as he is with intimate portraits. Currently working with oil on canvas, his subjects range from silent narratives to still-life paintings, all of which reinterpret the effects of color, light and line. His work is easily identifiable and extremely original, not only for the striking color combinations and light effects, but also for the intriguing and thought-provoking subject matter. Many a story has been formulated and discussed by admirers while viewing Harris’ work – so many stories that the BOI’s of New Hope have nicknamed Bill The Story-teller. Harris has shown his work throughout Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and in California and Mexico. Private collectors boast from Arizona, California, Florida, Iowa, Maryland, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and England.
