Michel Kouliche

Michel Kouliche
New works by world-renowned French Expressionist Painter, Michel Kouliche are now on exhibition at BOI’s of New Hope Art Gallery. Born in Paris in 1922, Kouliche is one of the painters most representative of the expressionist group that was searching by new techniques to give contemporary art more vigor and realty. After the war, Michel Kouliche re-started his painting and regularly showings at the most exclusive Parisian galleries.

Since 1952, he has had showings at the Salon des Indépendants, of which he is a member. And he was invited in 1957 by the Canadian government to show his paintings in Montreal.

Marked by an artist's temperament, the works of Michel Kouliche show a real taste for color and promises a bright future. Painting in the tradition of Chagall, and especially Ensor and Soutine, Michel Kouliche searches before everything else, to express in his work - life and passion. His power of imagination produces colors worthy of Vlaminck and Van Gogh. And he has been ranked along side these incredible artists as a contemporary.

Michel Kouliche, a long time member of Le Société des Artistes Indépendants also participated in a few Salons Comparaisons, and has regular showings at the Cimaise de Paris, in the Gallery of Contemporary Art and at the Museum of Modern Art in Paris, in Montreal and Toronto, in New York, Miami Beach and now in New Hope, PA. He is listed in Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in Art and Antiques, has won numerous awards and has his work in museums and private collections around the world.
