Virginia Helena Gruppé: Born at Villa Nellie in Katwijk-aan-zee, Holland, Virginia Gruppé became a noted watercolorist. She was the youngest child of artist Charles Gruppé and studied with her father. She attended Cornell University and the University of Rochester and exhibited at Gloucester and Rockport and at galleries in Boston, New York, and Washington DC. In Holley, New York, she founded the Gruppé Gallery, and there she painted and did restoration work..
